Scratched memories
Linger like ghosts
Harassing my thoughts

Clutching at bedsheets
I yearn to rewrite the past
To erase the sweet pain

If only I could
Reprogram my mind
Become a machine

Like a robot rebooting
My operating system reloading
I would delete the files of you

Running 1s and 0s
A newer version that feels
Nothing but cold binary

Recycling salty tears
Left behind only an empty folder
A placeholder for irrecoverable dreams
